Questions
Does my text get uploaded?
No. It is string processing in your browser — nothing is transmitted or retained.
Why does PDF text break like that?
A PDF stores lines as they were laid out on the page, not as flowing sentences. Copying preserves those layout breaks, which is why the text looks shredded when you paste it.
Will it destroy my paragraphs?
No. A blank line between blocks is treated as a real paragraph break and kept; single breaks inside a paragraph are the ones removed.
Can it also strip the formatting?
Yes — the same toolkit removes odd characters, double spaces and stray tabs, which usually come along with the same paste.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, and it is genuinely useful there for tidying something before you send it on.
