Questions
Does the image get uploaded to find the colours?
No. The pixels are read straight off a canvas in your browser and clustered locally, so a client's unreleased artwork does not end up on someone else's machine.
Free to use commercially?
Yes. Hex codes are not ours to charge for. Use them in whatever you are designing.
Is there a resolution limit?
No. Large images are sampled down before the colours are counted, so even a huge poster scan returns a palette almost instantly.
Works on mobile?
Yes — pick a photo from your camera roll and tap a swatch to copy its hex code to the clipboard.
Do I need an account to save a palette?
There are no accounts. Copy the codes out, or screenshot the swatch row — nothing is stored here.
