Days between two dates

Days between dates, and date maths

Counting on a calendar goes wrong the moment a month boundary or a leap year is involved. Enter the start and end dates below and get the exact number of days, plus the same span in weeks, months and years. There is a working-days option too, for notice periods and project deadlines where weekends should not count.

Questions
Are the dates I enter recorded?
No. It is arithmetic in the page — no analytics on what you typed, no server involved at all.
Is the end date included in the count?
The result is the number of days between the two dates. If you need both endpoints counted — for a hotel stay or a hire period — add one.
Are leap years handled?
Yes, and daylight saving too. It works from the real calendar rather than assuming every year is 365 days.
What counts as a working day?
Monday to Friday. Public holidays vary by country and are not deducted, so subtract those yourself if they matter.
Does it need an account or work offline on my phone?
No account, and once the page has loaded on your phone the calculation happens locally.
