Questions
Are my photos uploaded to convert them?
No. HEIC decoding happens in your browser, which is worth knowing given how personal a camera roll is.
Why won't my computer open HEIC anyway?
HEIC is Apple's default since iOS 11, but support outside the Apple world is patchy — older Windows builds, many web upload forms and plenty of print kiosks still reject it.
Does converting lose quality?
JPG is lossy, so there is some loss, but at the default quality it is invisible. Expect the file to be a little larger than the HEIC — HEIC is the more efficient format, which is why Apple chose it.
Can I do it on the iPhone itself?
Yes. Open this page in Safari, pick the photos from your library, and the JPGs save back to Files or Photos.
Is there a batch limit or a fee?
